Safeguarding and promoting the heritage of the old village.
Description
The Association des Amis du Vieux Poët-laval was founded in 1926 by a handful of enthusiasts of the site, with the aim of saving a group of buildings then in a state of abandonment.
Today, the association has around ninety members. Since 1998, it has run a room in the château, in which it has installed an exhibition devoted to the history of the village and the restoration of the château. Working closely with the municipality and the administrative services in charge of protecting the site, it strives to contribute to the preservation, restoration and animation of this remarkable ensemble. It regularly organizes guided tours of the entire site.
