PROFUSION, association of ceramists from the Dieulefit-Bourdeaux region
Description
Dieulefit is a land of centuries-old ceramics, pottery is part of its DNA, and today there are more than 70 potters and ceramists in the area who perpetuate this practice.
. In 2021, we founded PROFUSION to promote ceramics professionals and contribute to local identity by bringing this collective heritage to life. Our aim is to promote our authentic and creative territory: by joining forces, we support each professional and his or her uniqueness through the influence of the collective. To achieve this, we organize public events and activities in the area, work with local authorities on collective communication media and local signage, support professional training centers, promote the pooling of tool-purchase areas and the exchange of know-how, and plan the construction of shared ovens... Many projects are already underway.
The association is also working with the community of communes and local authorities to study the ceramics sector and its economic stakes in the region, and will be involved in the scenarios that will be implemented for its development in the years to come.
