It is a popular education association open to all, respecting individual convictions and completely independent of political parties. It promotes secular instruction and education by offering artistic and sporting activities for children, teenagers and adults.
Amicales Laïques can be found just about everywhere in France, and in all shapes and forms: some are parent-teacher associations, others manage socio-cultural spaces.
The one in Dieulefit was founded in 1901, following the law of July 1, 1901, which established the right of association and guaranteed one of the great republican freedoms.
One of the first missions of the Amicale Laïque de Dieulefit was to help families in difficulty by providing logistical and financial support.
L'Amicale Laïque de Dieulefit gradually shifted its focus to :
- access to leisure activities for local children
- working with public schools.
L'Amicale Laïque is committed to the well-being and development of children, offering a wide range of activities at reasonable prices.

L'amicale laïque is pleased to announce the arrival of "Happi la compagnie", a troupe from Montélimar, for improvisational theater classes for 8/11 and 12+ year olds on Wednesday afternoons, and for adults on Monday evenings.
