Eson

The Rock of the row(rank) of March, Falaise(Cliff) from 15 to 20 métres. Due south. Any difficulties: rundown 10€ on sale in the OT or in the bar of the village

Description

The main cliff, known as "Les Roches rouges", with its South and West faces, remains, with around 80 routes, the main climbing area on Eson. Because of its orientation, this is not a site to be recommended in hot weather, even if you can climb in the shade until around 2 p.m. on the west face. The difficulty of the routes ranges from 5b to 7c+, with the majority around 7a.
The style of climbing varies from sector to sector. Reasonable overhangs on decent holds, steep, technical and continuous walls, large layered overhangs, water drops, flats, big tubs and the occasional crouté; the rock here offers a wide variety of shapes and colors. In short, it's a beautiful cliff.
Topo Eson, Le Palloir. Climbing in Drôme Provençale.
